Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ Game Review~

Yahalloooo~

So, I'm back! ♪ ..and for the second time this month! *O*
..that hasn't happened in a while ^^;
Like I said in my previous blog (if you read it), I'd be back in the near future to review Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ once I finished the game :3
Well, guess what?
It's the near future AND I finished it! >ω<

It was...yesterday when I finished the game;; and I miss it already :c
Which is strange that I miss it because when I first got this game, it literally took me forever to get into ^^; I don't know why, but that often happens with me when it comes to otome games :,) Like, it can take me a while to get fully immersed but once I do, I fall in love with them!
I checked today on my PS Vita to see when I actually purchased the game and it was all the way back in February..! Σ(・o・;) And that's a long time to be playing a game!
8 months, in fact! (」゜ロ゜)」
But now that I have finished it, I really wish I had gotten into it straight away;; When I think back, I remember deciding to follow cheats from the start (which I'll explain more about later) and according to the cheats, it's best to start off with Van Helsing's route who is the character that is sort of...not
very connected with the main group? He joins in the second chapter with his own goals in mind and doesn't try to get close to anyone, so I think that maybe put me off? Like I found his route quite difficult to play through :,) Which is another super weird thing because he is now one of my favourites! >o<
But it's mean to blame Van Helsing.. He didn't really do anything wrong >ω<
Aaaaaanyway :,)
I think that's enough talking for now! I'm just going to get right on with the review~! :3

--SPOILER WARNING--
I'll try my best not to give anything huge away, but just in case...
You have been warned~ ^O^

~   ~   ~

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ is a Visual Novel/Otome game for the PS Vita system. If you are unfamiliar with Visual Novels and Otome games, I'll explain what they are right now :3

Visual Novel;
An interactive fiction game which usually requires the player (obviously being yourself) to make choices throughout which will lead to different possible endings.

Otome;
A story based game that is usually more directed towards a female audience. The point of Otome games is to follow different routes that centre around a certain male character and to build up a romantic relationship with that certain character. Each character route usually has good and bad endings.

So with that explained, let's get right into the review! ^ω^

Story~

This story begins in the country of Wales. Living in an abandoned mansion, a girl named Cardia who was told in a letter that her father left for her that she must never leave the mansion and that one day, he would come and get her. Living isolated and alone, Cardia accepts this letter as truth because it's the only thing she has that means something to her. So she stays inside the mansion; branded as a "monster" by the locals as her body carries a deadly poison that melts anything she comes into contact with, waiting for her father to return. One day, the quiet solitude of her life is interrupted when the Royal Guards come all the way from London to kidnap her. As they leave the mansion and begin their journey back, they are halted by the appearance of Arsène Lupin, the Gentleman Thief who has also come to take Cardia. He swoops down amongst the confusion he has caused and after causing even more confusion, he quickly helps Cardia escape the Royal Guards.
She agrees to join Lupin's company in the hope of finding her father and finding a cure to her deadly condition as she journeys through London with Lupin and his four other bizarre, yet handsome companions...

Game System~

With the main story covered, I'll now talk about some other aspects the game has to offer :3

Main Heroine's Name~

Once you start a New Game, you have the option to change her name or keep it as the default name which is Cardia. Personally, I recommend you keep it as Cardia because...well, that's her original name.. ^^; Also because when she is spoken to by other people, they will say her name but if you change it, nothing will be said.
Plus Cardia is a pretty name! ♡ Why would you want to change it? >ω<

Game Flow~

Obviously, with this being an otome game, you straight away jump into the role of Cardia as the game begins. Although occasionally, you will switch to the point of view of other characters, but you can't make any choices when that happens; it's just to see what's happening elsewhere that links to the story or reveals more about certain characters.
Again, with the otome genre continuing, you'll make choices throughout the game that will influence the course of the story and raise affection with certain characters.
But something that is different here compared to other otome games is that you can't actually see the level of affection with these characters. In most games, there is an option in the menu or something where you can see what levels you have raised and stuff, but here you can just tell by the way the characters interact with Cardia. With the first 8 chapters of the game, it's pretty obvious to see what options will lead to which character as you sometimes get to choose to spend time with one of them. And once you reach the end of the eighth chapter, there is a moment when Cardia herself chooses to go with someone and that someone is the person whose route you have unlocked.
[ RANDOM TIP WITH SERAH ]
I do recommend following cheats with this game. Usually I would say do a blind play through first which...okay, is maybe fine for the first 8 chapters, but once you reach the ninth and you split off into a character route, it's maybe best to use cheats from that point. This is because some options you can choose will give you a game over and unless you save before that, you'll have to go back and start all the way from the beginning. If you don't mind that, then fine! But the first chapters are pretty lengthy and...I'm not saying they're bad, but I wouldn't like to play through them more than I have to as maybe after the third time, they start to get a bit boring as you know it all by this point;;
There is something in the Main Menu called The Path of Genesis which lets you choose what chapters you can skip to, but unless you have completed the entire character route, you can't use that option yet, so.. That's only really necessary if you want to play again :,)
So... Yes. Cheats are recommend and they're very easy to find :,) Just search for them and they'll appear super easily and they are also super easy to follow :3

Main Menu~

I would explain the System Menu as well, but that seems pretty self-explanitory :,) You have options like Save, Load, Glossary.. blahblah, you know the story :,)
So I thought just sticking with the Main Menu would be fine as you have more fun options here! :3

Memory Trunk;
This is where you store most things earned throughout the game :3
So you'll have things like Character CG's to view anytime you want (..yay! ♥), you have BGM (Background Music) which is actually great because this game has such a wonderful soundtrack~! You can also view the Opening Movie and the Ending Movie that features each character once you've completed their Good Ending and there are also Extra Stories which, again, are unlocked once you've completed the Good Ending for each character. These are just really short scenes where something happens and you get a shirtless CG of each character ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ..which is as good as it sounds! ;3
..although;; My favourite, Saint-Germain, is just wearing a skin tight black shirt thing with a kimono (I think it was?) draped around him;; which sucks because OMG! I bet he would have such a sexy front ASDFGHJKL ♥////♥
*cough* ..I-I'm sorry ^^; I just love him~~

Glossary;
This is where everything you learn throughout the game is stored. So, for example, when you learn things about places or people, it's kept here and you can view it (..if you want) anytime :,)
It's basically just a lengthier explanation of something mentioned in the game :3

Trophies;
This isn't something kept in the Code: Realize menu, but I thought I'd mention it since you can earn them :3 They're super simple to earn! You don't have to do anything specific, you just earn them as you go~
[ RANDOM TIP WITH SERAH ]
You get a trophy for each character once you have unlocked all of their CG's, but for Lupin, you need to complete his Normal Ending to unlock all of the Non-Character CG's :3
So just keep in mind if you like to earn all of the trophies (like myself >ω<), then I recommend viewing Lupin's Normal Ending :3

Characters~

Like I always say when I do my reviews, my favourite part is getting to talk about the characters! *ω*
So... Let's staaaaaaaaaart~! (◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞

Main Characters~

Name; Cardia
Age; Unknown, but looks around 18-20??
Occupation; Erm...being poisonous?? >ω<" ..too soon? X,D

The supah CUTE protagonist of the game! ♥
Sometimes the heroines in otome games can get a little annoying because...well, they tend to not have any real "personality"..
*cough* Amnesia heroine *cough* XD
But Cardia is really sweet and really not annoying! ^O^

Due to the fact she has lived alone for so long, she isn't really knowledgable about how to act in front of other people which is shown when she begins to take off her clothes to show Lupin the Horologium which is a gem embedded in her chest that causes the flow of poison in her body.. Ah! But don't worry! Lupin is a gentleman, so he asks her to get dressed again! X,3
In general, Cardia is a really sweet and innocent girl who cares about her friends and will often put them before herself. As the story progresses, she becomes less shy and contained and is able to express herself better and defend for herself.

Name; Arsène Lupin
Age; 24
Occupation; Gentleman Thief >ω<
Seiyuu; Tomoaki Maeno
[ You unlock Lupin's route once you've completed the other characters route; Normal or Good Ending ]

First of all...
Who doesn't love Lupin!? ♥
He is literally perfect in every way possible ;ω;
Lupin is a super fun character! He's always cheerful, optimistic and is full of confidence! He may be a thief, but he refers to himself as a "Gentleman" Thief because he doesn't steal for his own gain.. Though he'll keep any handling fee he earns X,D

Name; Abraham Van Helsing
Age; 27
Occupation; Vampire Hunter
Seiyuu; Junichi Suwabe ♥

At first, I really didn't like Van Helsing much;; He just wasn't very emotionally connected to everyone else in the group.. But after a while, I really started to like him! *ω* He can be slightly tsundere sometimes and I tend to like that in male characters.. >/ /<
He is a Vampire Hunter renowned for his amazing ability and fighting skills; he is even referred to as the "Human Weapon" as he was able to kill an entire clan of vampires in the Vampire War that happened two years prior to this game. He joins Lupin and his companions as he is searching for someone linked to Cardia with whom he wishes to settle a score with.
As a person, he is quite aloof and cold and rarely shows emotion. But deep down, he does start to care for everyone around him and will openly recognise skill when he sees it.

Name; Victor Frankenstein
Age; 25
Occupation; Alchemist
Seiyuu; Tetsuya Kakihara

Victor is definitely the cootie-patootie of the group! >ω<
Like, he's SO adorably cute and stuff~
He was once a government researcher, but left that life behind after a serious incident occurred with something he helped to create.
Victor is very clever and has an immense amount knowledge when it comes to the field of science and as a person, he is humble and sociable, but he is often shown to have a fragile self-esteem level.
While he looks like he could barely lift a pencil, he is very capable at defending others and himself as he can make an array of potions and concoctions that prove useful in battle.

Name; Impey Barbicane
Age; 27
Occupation; Genius Engineer ;p
Seiyuu; My love, Shou-chan! ♥ (Showtaro Morikubo)

Impey is one of those annoying womaniser characters -___-
BUT! Because it seems like that's just a title be bestowed upon himself, he's actually super easy to love :3
I'd say Impey is my second favourite character; he's just so much fun! >ω<
While his ingenuity is acknowledged by the other characters, they are seen mocking him more often than not.. X,D Especially Lupin and Van :,) But he still has an impressive level of self-esteem and confidence :,)
Impey is very care-free, energetic and friendly.. Maybe overly friendly sometimes as he never passes up a chance to flirt with Cardia :,) Though in his route, he is way more sweet and genuinely cares about her! ♡
He also claims he'll be the first man to land on the moon! (•̀o•́)ง

Name; Saint-Germain
Age; Umm... ^^;
Occupation; [ I'll keep that a secret to avoid spoilers ]
Seiyuu; Hirarin!! ♥ (Daisuke Hirakawa)

Behold!! My favourite!!
Saint-Germain! ///////
Just LOOK at him! LOOOOOOK!! LOOOOOK! JUST LOOK AT HIM!!!
His elegance! His beauty! ..HIS FREAKING LEGS OMG! GIMME!! >/ / / /<
*breathe in* . . . *breathe out*
..okay. I'm okay now! ^^;
I can't help that I love him so much ;A;

Saint-Germain is the most mysterious character out of them all. You literally find out next to nothing about him until you unlock his route which definitely kept me on my toes! *O*
I can tell you that he is a wealthy land owner with a mansion where he lets everyone else stay, but not for free, of course~ XD
He has a definite air of grace and dignity and speaks wonderfully~ Hirarin melts me~ ;/ / / /;
I will say though that he never opens his eyes, but when he does..
It actually scared me!! XD Like, he's my favourite, but whenever he opened his eyes, I'd flinch away from the screen! Even though they are the most beautiful colour ♥
But you get used to it~ So much that you miss it when he closes them;;
Also his route made me cry SO much! ; ___ ; You could see his suffering plainly on his face and in his eyes and it hurt me!;;
He's wonderful~ And the ending of his route it so romantic~ *blushes* ^/ /^

Supporting Characters~

These characters are technically supporting characters, but they are so much involved in the story that they could be considered main.. So, let's say Main-Supporting Characters :,)
But because they are quite closely involved in the story, trying to talk about them may lead to me spoiling certain things, so.. I'll just leave it as their Name, Age, Occupation and Seiyuu :3

Name; Finis
Age; Unknown, but... Maybe looks about 10-13, I'd say :,)
Occupation; Being annoying--! >ω<
Seiyuu; Of course, it would have to be Yuki Kaji ;3

Name; Herlock Sholmes.. Yes, you read that right :p
Age; 28
Occupation; Private Detective
Seiyuu; Kazuya Murakami

Name; Jimmy A. Aleister
Age; 54
Occupation; [ I'll keep that a secret to avoid spoilers ]
Seiyuu; Rikiya Koyama

Name; Delacroix II (later nicknamed by Impey as Delly)
Age; 12
Occupation; Heir to [ spoiler ] XD
Seiyuu; Miho Ishigami

My Thoughts~

After it taking me a long while to get into this game, by the end of it, I could definitely say that I enjoyed it very much! ^ω^
The first thing I noticed about this game was it's AWESOME Steampunk theme! Like, OMG! That rocked so hard! ♥ The characters clothes are all so cool! And the background designs are insanely detailed and beautiful as well :,) They even go as far as to add a mechanical leg to a small dog so even he has something Steampunky about him, as well! >ω<
STEAMPUNK! STEAMPUNK! STEEEAMPUNNNK!! /////
The soundtrack for this game was... Whoa.
It was really something else! So many wonderful and powerful pieces! You have your easy-going pieces for a fun scene and your serious pieces for a scary scene..
It all just fits SO well! *ω*
I have...many favourites, but I think this one tops them all~! ♥

It's so beautiful~ And moves my heart completely~

Oh! And this one too! You can't forget this one! ;ω;
You just know a really special scene is happening when you hear this~

And this one just because! >ω<
It just reminds me of Impey and I love it so much! :,D

Some of the ones I would also like to link haven't been uploaded, but you get the idea! :3
A-MAZ-ING SOUNDTRACK!

As for the characters, I loved all of them :,) ..there were maybe a few exceptions..
*cough* Nemo *cough* He is a character who appears once, but has more of an impact in Impey's route, so I didn't feel it was necessary to mention him with the other Supporting Characters, but Nemo. Yes, he was very annoying. When you first come across him, it's like..
 "Wow! He's so weird and funny!!" :,D
But the after a while of listening to him and stuff, it's more like..
 "Someone just...take this guys meds away from him." .-.
But aside from Nemo annoying me and Finis (more so towards the end of Lupin's route) I could pretty much like everyone else :,) I especially enjoyed the interactions between Lupin and Herlock Sholmes >ω<
Talking more about characters, I loved seeing how Cardia developed relationships with them and also how they developed relationships with each other! ..I say that in a friendly manner, mind you ;p
It's just really sweet watching this naïve girl getting all cute and flustered trying to figure out what this feeling is that she has towards them :,) There was a pretty emotional scene in Van Helsing's route when he sort of just snaps at her and begs her not to follow him because he cares about her and doesn't want her to get hurt;; Impey was one of the funniest, too! :,) At first, Cardia is just like..
 "OMG! This dude is weird, get him away from me!"
So when they finally develop and relationship, it's like..
 "Heh.. You luuuuuurve him!" ;3
And also funny how no one believes Impey when he tells them :,) They literally think he drugged her or something and made her say all those things.. Okay, well maybe not "drugged"... But they still didn't believe him :,)
..although no matter how hard you look at it, Cardia fits the most perfectly with Lupin ^//ω//^
And because all the characters are so different, no route is exactly the same or travels in the same direction :3 Different routes focus on different supporting characters and give them more depth which sometimes helps towards your understanding of that person in another route!
It's just...all very well done, I think ^ω^
I also absolutely LOVED the story!! *ω* While at the end I thought Cardia getting her poison cured felt too easy, the rest of it was great! I love how each route really reflected so well on the specific character and I also loved that each character had a really deep and emotional backstory;;
But back to the main story :,) I really felt that it was very detailed and very well thought out :3 I also liked how each chapter focused on something brand new and elaborated on that and how also something in each chapter ended up circling back around and connecting to Cardia in some way :3
If there was maybe something I disliked...it was maybe the length of the chapters;;
I remember when I reviewed Amnesia, I commented that the chapters could have been longer, but with this game...maybe a little shorter? I'm not contradicting myself too much, am I? ^^; Like by saying I loved how detailed the story was but wanting the chapters to be shorter? ^^;
Maybe not so much the character chapters, but the first eight chapters. I already mentioned this, but by the third time you have to start this game, you've pretty much memorised everything that happens in these first eight chapters and they start to become really difficult to play through .-. I swear the amount of times I fell asleep and actually played through them in a sleep-type...daze...thing? Like I remember starting Chapter Six which is one of my least favourites ^^; I started it and what only felt like a few minutes in, I was already half way through! :,) So I must have hella been dozing to miss all of that :,)
I mean, they were GOOD. But if there was a way to skip them, I would have taken it;; It's just you have to play through them again to make all the choices necessary to move onto another character route;;
That also links to why I recommend cheats :,) Because it would be A LOT of effort to complete all of those chapters, enter the character route, choose something wrong, get a game over and have to start All. Over. Again. >. >
I say that, but I also recommend using cheats because it's interesting to get a game over :,)
Once you've made a choice that leads to a Bad Ending, the story doesn't continue for much longer, but it's still fun seeing what the wrong option leads to, you know? :3
So as long as you save before you make your choice, you can get the Bad Ending and then go and load your save and continue without having to start from the beginning again :,)
I also recommend you actually try to get the Bad Endings and Normal Endings :3 because it adds a new level of depth to the story :3 The Normal Endings tend to be very sad, but are interesting to see how the characters develop when that path is taken! ^O^ Of course nothing beats the Good Endings (especially Lupin's! ♥), but do it because it's just...fun! ^ω^

But this game really is worth playing through purely for the ending of Lupin's route! ♥
It's SO romantic and literally everything you're hoping for and more! *ω*

I recommend that you play this game :3
I know I slammed a lot on the first eight chapters for being so tedious after the first few play throughs, but it's worth it once you reach a character route because they are all so great! ..I can't find a thing to fault them about, actually! O:
So...yush :3
Serah recommends this one! ;D

Overall Score~

Like always, I rate specific categories individually then rate the overall game after :3

> Background Graphics: 10/10 (STEEEAMPUNNNK!!!)
> Character Designs: 10/10 (everyone looks B-E-A-UTIFUL!)
> Music: 10/10 (beautiful music and so fitting)
> Story: 9/10

Overall: 8/10

..I can't help but rate everything so highly ^^; It's all genuine scoring, though! ^ω^
But I rated the game an 8/10 overall though because of how repetitive it was to replay the first 8 chapters.. It doesn't lessen the quality of those chapters, just the feeling of replaying them again was kind of boring because you just KNOW everything.. ;A;

But regardless of that, I really did love this game and I really do recommend it to anyone who loves otome games! It's also on MAL (MyAnimeList) as it'll be getting an anime adaption...at some point, I don't know when yet :,) But hopefully that'll be good, so I'm looking forward to that! ^O^
..I digress :,)
Definitely give the game a try! :3

~   ~   ~

So that was my review for Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ :3
I hope you enjoyed it and it helped you decide whether or not you want to play the game if you haven't already ^O^
If you have any questions about the game, please feel free to leave a comment and I'll reply as best I can~

Thank you for reading and have a great day~! ^ω^

October Updates~

Yahalloooo~ ^ω^
..it's been a while again, huh? ^^;

I'm kinda just not doing anything of real significance right now, so I thought I'd write a blog :,) ..not that I have an awful lot to say (do I ever?) but we'll see where this goes! >ω<

Oh! Like pretty much every other person at the moment, I'm currently very obsessed with Mystic Messenger *ω* If you don't know what that is, it's an otome phone app. where you basically message different guys (and one girl which is a fun twist to the otome genre) and work through their different routes and get all sorts of different endings and awesome CG's and stuff :3 I usually just play console otome games so I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded this app. but it's actually seriously great! ..sometimes a little creepy and a lot of the time very emotional;; if you're into things like this, I recommend this app. and welcome you to MysMes HELL! >:D
I only have two complaints about this game .-.
1. The MC really needs to get a fucking haircut, like seriously >. >
2. And JuHyun NEED their own route! They. Just. Do. (JuHyun = Jumin x Zen)
Those two are seriously shippable it's unreal! Also Jumin is SO gay. And SO my favourite ;3
..that sounds like a very strange thing to say, but whatever :,)
I'm currently working through Seven's route which, according to cheats and stuff, is the final one to play through if you want to play in a recommend order to avoid spoilers. Though when you're far in MysMes Hell like I currently am...it's very hard to avoid spoilers and people will just tell you anything anyway which sucks;; But I still feel some stuff hasn't been spoiled...kinda??
Eh, well. It's still fun! :,)

I'm also very close to completing Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~
I can't remember exactly when I got this game, but it was a while ago; maybe around the time it actually came out :,) it took me a ridiculously long time to get into, but now that I am into it, I SO love it! ♡ So when I finish it, I'll be reviewing the game, so yay! :3
Oh! I'm also still planning to review Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, but that may be a little longer ^^; And there are two reasons for that :,) The first being that I want to replay it just to refresh my memory of all the things that happened so my review will be a little better and the second reason is that there is another game coming out at the end of this month that I really want to play and...I'll probably review that once I've played it, so...
J-Just know that the Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma review will be happening, I just don't know when yet heh ^^;
But YES, Code: Realize
Saint-Germain is my favourite ///// In a way, he's kind of the most frightening character with a really dark story, but...it's because of that that he's my favourite ;ω; It's like you see all of that and also see all of his suffering you just want more than anything to make him happy! So...his route is definitely my favourite *ω*
He is then VERY closely followed by Impey :,) which is surprising because I don't usually like characters who are considered "womanisers" and stuff.. But because Impey is really cute and funny and...slightly "absent" in his head, you can't dislike him :,) then after Impey, it's Van Helsing who I didn't like much at first, but the more I think about him, the more I do! He has the tsundere personality I really like in guys :,) and then the super cute Victor comes next :,) I can't say where Lupin will come because I haven't finished his route yet...but maybe he'll be around the middle, I think? I just know that he won't top Impey or Saint-Germain.
It's just not possible :,)
But Lupin is still awesome and definitely the HERO of the story who will save Cardia~ *ω*
..at least I hope he does;;

Also! The game I mentioned coming out later this month, I am SO excited! >/ /<
It's called Root Letter (√Letter) and it looks stunningly beautiful with a very interesting story!
The gameplay is stylised in a Visual Novel format with the genre of adventure ^ω^ You're playing as a character who, when said character was younger, had a pen pal named Aya. They would both exchange letters but one day, letters from Aya suddenly stopped arriving after the player received a peculiar letter from her. The player than travels to Shimane to try and uncover the reason behind Aya's disappearance while interacting with people who knew Aya and by also piecing different clues together.
I am SO excited for this, words don't even begin to cover it! *ω* I also still can't wrap my head around how beautiful this game looks~ And even MORE exciting is that this game is going to be the first in a new series (most likely stand-alone games instead of a series of sequels) so that's something to look forward to!
If you're interested, here is a trailer for the game~
PLEEEEEASE WATCH IT!
Root Letter (√Letter) English Story Trailer - PS4 / PS Vita
So? So? It's beautiful, right? Looks incredible, right?! *ω*
I'm SO excited omG! I even order the super expensive Pen Pal edition.. T ___ T
MY POOR BANK ACCOUNT! IT CRIES AND CRIES AND CRIES! ;;;

But. Worth. It.
Y-Y-YAAAAAY~! *ω*

Aaaaand...I think that's all I have to say.. >A<
I feel like my spontaneous blogs always end so abruptly :,)

..Oh well! ^ω^
I hope you found this blog fun to read~
Have a great day, everyone :3

Seasonal Anime Tag~

Summer Anime Tag

Yahalloooo~

I'm back again for another seasonal anime tag~! This time, it's for the Summer Season that is just about to end. But I think I know enough about each series to do the tag now, like I don't think I need to wait for the last episode before I can do this :,)
Before this season started, I was really excited as it looked like a lot of great series would be airing! A couple of weeks in, though.. I was very disappointed;; There were some great series, sure! But the bad ones definitely outnumbered the good :<
Even so, I had fun with this season; I could still enjoy the bad series! And when I say "enjoy"...I mean laugh at how crappy they were >:D
So with that all said...

1. What was the best anime?
The best anime, without a doubt, was Tales of Zestiria the X!

I was already familiar with Tales of Zestiria having played some of the game beforehand, so I was definitely excited for this series! *ω* And... Omggg~
It. Is. AMAZING! >/ /<
First of all... Congratu(fucking)lations to ufotable!!! You make seriously orgasmic looking animation and Tales of Zestiria the X was so beautiful~ ;ω; I literally couldn't fault it at all! Sometimes when a series nears the end, the animation starts to lack a little bit (especially when some characters aren't the main focus of a scene as they may be missing certain facial elements.. ^^;) but ufotable doesn't have that problem!! Tales of Zestiria the X has remained flawless throughout!! ω
Second of all... I also LOVED how they had two episodes dedicated to the start of Tales of Berseria which is set in the same world as Tales of Zestiria just a long time before! I loved seeing Velvet Crowe in action, like.. Wow! She's hot ;3
ALSO! My love, fhána arranged a beautiful ending song and FLOW performed just an equally awesome opening song AND ending song (for episode 6)! AND YAY! Episode 5 even had White Light by Superfly which is the intro song for the actual game of Tales of Zestiria!!! *ω*
*fangirlfangirlfangirl* ..okay. Okay! It's okay, I'm alright.. ; v ;
As for a quick rundown of the actual story.. ^^;
Tales of Zestiria the X follows Sorey, a young boy who grew up in a small village with Seraphim which are spirits that can't be seen by other humans. There is a folklore that speaks of a Shepard who will lead the way into a new world where humans and Seraphim can live and coexist together and Sorey wants to see that folklore come to be! He decides to leave the village and travel to the Capital where, through various events, he becomes this Shepard of legend and must lead the way to cast away the calamity of the world! (KYAH!) As he continues his mission and meets more Seraphim and humans, he begins to realise just how serious the role he has is and must learn to be the great Shepard the legend speaks of! (KYAH!)
OMG! It's just SO GOOD!
I mean, obviously there are some differences from the game to the anime, but hardly anything that makes it less enjoyable. Personally I thought those changes worked really well in the anime! *ω*
Seriously, I'm telling you! I can't recommend this series enough! Just watch it, already!!! >/ /<

[ my rating; 10/10 on MAL ]

2. What was the worst anime?
The worst anime has to be Ange Vierge.

The fact this anime was based off a card game causes skepticism anyway, but it definitely was a load of crap :,)
I mean, the actual story has promise! I really liked the idea they had which was that the universe contained five separate worlds and that one day, they collided and were in danger of destruction. I think that's really cool! *ω*
But the way the story was carried out was really very poor and the characters are very typical to this kind of series.. I'm just always bored when watching this;;
When the different worlds collided, this power awakens within teenage girls called Exceed and there is this special school which they attend which teaches them how to use said power.
It could have been good.. But it really wasn't;; I advise you stay away from this series.
It's for your own good ^^;

[ my rating; 2/10 on MAL ]

3. What was your favourite anime?
My favourite anime has to be (has, has, HAS to be!) Amaama to Inazuma!

This anime...is beautiful ;ω; not just physically, but emotionally as well! ;ω;
Basically the story follows Kouhei Inuzuka who is a teacher and has been caring for his young daughter, the ridiculously-cute-it-should-be-illegal Tsumugi by himself since his wife's death;;
He isn't very skilled at cooking, so more often than not, him and Tsumugi end up eating boxed lunches and packaged meals from convenience stores. By chance one day when he goes with Tsumugi to view the cherry blossoms, he encounters one of his students, Kotori Iida (who he doesn't recognise at first) and she ends up giving him a card with the address to her family restaurant on it.
One day, he ends up going there with Tsumugi and cooks a meal with Kotori. He eventually realises that she is a student of his and she confesses to him that her mother is rarely around and, as a result, she ends up eating by herself. So she asks him if, every now and then, he and Tsumugi could join her is making meals and eating together. And that's how they end up cooking delicious meals together!
It may sound kind of...dull to some people if you don't like this kind of thing...
But it's seriously such a sweet, cute and lovely series!
I always got SO excited when Monday came around as watching this would always make me feel so happy and at peace! ;ω; I even started reading the manga because I love it so much! I know I'm going to cry when the last episode airs next week, I'm seriously going to miss watching this so much! ;A;
If you're like me and enjoy anime series that are light-hearted, slow in pace with a touch of emotion and comedy, you will love this! I promise! It's just...a wonderful series! ♡

[ my rating; 10/10 on MAL ]

4. What was your favourite OP. song?
As you can see, I watched an awful lot of series this season :,) so it was really hard to think of an answer for this! > <; in the end, I decided to go with Tenkyou no Alderamin (Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin).

I went with this opening song because I am very weak against Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets. They have such an awesome sound and they always, always, always make the best songs! *ω*
Sidenote!! Yatori is the best girl omf-- >/ / /<

5. What was your favourite ED. song?
Again, another hard question :,) like with the OP. songs, I loved so many;; but I ended up going with HIDE-AND-SEEK (Handa-kun).

The animation for the ED. sequence changes...each episode, I think since a new fan (or multiple fans) of Handa keep on appearing :,) but it's still the same song and I LOVE it! :,) SuzuKen's voice is so good and I could just literally listen to him sing this for hours on end :,)

6. Who was your favourite seiyuu of the season?
I thought about this a lot and I ended up choosing Eri Suzuki (voiced Hikari "Pikari" Kohinata from Amanchu!).

Pikari is such a cutie pie *ω*
Her "Whoop!" is SO cute as well! >/ / /<
Pikari is one of those characters who just seems so happy and hyper all the time! :3 she's also really cute, funny and super sweet! ..and very energetic about diving, too! ^^;
Eri Suzuki hasn't had a huge amount of roles yet; she's still fairly new to the industry. But she has a lot of promise, I think! She definitely has Pikari's personality down to a T and voices her hyperactivity perfectly! ♡
And because of Eri-chan, Pikari is definitely one of my favourite characters this season! I just want to hug her and have her "Whoop!" for me all the time! ..that isn't a dirty thing, btw!! ^^;
Pikari just has a habit of saying "Whoop!" every now and then! Seriously. It's adorable! /)/ / /(\

7. Who was your favourite male character?
This took a while to decide, but once I had decided, it seemed so obvious! I chose Suwa Hiroto from Orange.

Suwa is literally the bestest friend anybody could ever want! Ever.
Regarding is personality in general, he is very outgoing and energetic! He is also very positive and smiles a lot! ♡ ..he is also very popular with the ladies >:3
..just maybe not with the lady he would like;;
Now as to why he is my favourite male character!
He looks out for Kakeru with so much passion! He does everything he can to bring a smile to Kakeru's face and reminds Kakeru how he and everyone else are always there for him and if Kakeru ever has anything sad weighing on his mind, to talk about it to them. He doesn't want to smile if Kakeru can't truly smile;;
Also. Suwa is in love with Naho, but Naho and Kakeru are in love with each other. Suwa knows this and he puts his own feelings aside to work hard to make those two happy together! Like, if that isn't a good friend... Please, just tell me what is!;;
He feels that because there is a parallel world where in the future, him and Naho are married and have a child, he can work hard to bring Naho and Kakeru close together in this world.
..that all makes more sense if you're familiar with the story :,)
And, in all honesty, while I support Kakeru and Naho...there is no hiding the fact that Suwa and Naho are perfect together, as well! And it just makes me feel so many things knowing that Suwa is setting aside his feelings if it means Kakeru and Naho can be happy together;;
I love him SO much! He is such a wonderful guy ;~;

8. Who is your favourite female character?
A little thought went into this one, but in the end I went with Kagari from Rewrite.

LOOK at dat face!! LEMME AT DEM CHEEKS!! ♡ω♡
She is perfectly adorable! >/ /ω/ /<
I want to make her my pet. I will carry her around with me everywhere, sleep with her in my bed, takes baths with her and feed her and give her all the DAMN coffee she wants!
..........
D-Did that get a little weird..? ^^; *cough*
ANYWAY!
As for the anime in general, I'm really surprised that I'm not as hooked as I thought I would be;; Rewrite is a Visual Novel developed by Key and if you don't know Key..
Do you even Visual Novel?!
Key has a reputation for developing wonderful Visual Novels and Rewrite was one of them! But the anime just isn't delivering what I thought it would;; Honestly, I have a hard time following it sometimes..
But once Kagari came into it, I was a little happier! ♡
She is an angel with a coffee addiction voiced by the always amazing Kana Hanazawa and I love this precious child! *flaaaaails arms frantically* >/ / /<
It's quite hard to define her personality.. But she is quite childlike in both appearance and personality and she obviously plays a large role in the story so I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
She's just...a total cutie and I just WANT her but not in a sexual way--!
OMG! I need to stop now, don't I? :,)

9. Who was your least favourite character?
To answer this, I went with Kaho Nikaidou from Hatsukoi Monster.

If you aren't watching this anime, you're probably looking at this picture and thinking..
 "Now what could possibly be wrong with her? She looks so innocent.."
Yea, well... She is. TOO innocent.
TOO FUCKING INNOCENT TO UNDERSTAND HOW WRONG IT IS FOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT TO DATE A FUCKING PRIMARY SCHOOL KID!
Seriously, Kaho! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!?!
She is 15 and is dating a 10 year old. Like. What. The. Fuck.
This is a girl who is dating a boy who still calls it a willy and makes jokes about poop >. >
*face palm*
I mean, the anime in general is weird (..though it does make me laugh sometimes .-.) but why... WHYY does she not see how wrong it is that she is dating a 10 year old boy?! Yea, he doesn't actually LOOK 10.. BUT THAT ISN'T THE POINT!!!!
..I'm sorry :,) ..but this just doesn't sit right in my head. Like, I can't understand this :,)
*siiiiiigh* I'm done. I'll hurt my brain if I think about this anymore :,)
So, yea. Kaho? Don't like her. She is too naïve and stooooopid! :F

~   ~   ~

So that was my Summer Anime Tag!
The next season of anime will be the Fall season which is...actually when I started doing this! Wow.. I can't believe it's been a year already! That's kinda freaky;;
Thankfully I'm not going to be watching nearly as many series as I have done for this season, so I can go back and watch some series I missed or have still yet to see :3
So that should be good! ^ω^

I hope you enjoyed reading this tag!
And if you're interested, here is a link to my MAL account :3

July Updates~

Yahalloooo~ ^ω^

I'm just in one of those moods that makes me think..
 "Hey! I wanna blog right now!" so here I am :,)
And I also thought now would be a good time to blog because I'm about to get really, suuuper busy soon! ..well, it feels busy to me ^^;

So! First of all is..
I'm going to Hyper Japan! On the 15th of July, so this coming Friday and I'm SO excited! *ω*
I did go...last year, I think it was? But this year I'm a bit more excited because I'll be cosplaying as my precious Mayushii☆ from Steins;Gate!
I did cosplay as her last month when I went to a smaller Comic Con. with my best friend, but because I couldn't get the wig to work right, I went without ;;; but I'm hoping I'll be able to sort it out in time for Friday so I can do the full costume this time! ^O^
So I'm really looking forward to that! :3

Second of all is..
My mum's birthday! Which is on the 17th of July, so two days after Hyper Japan! X,3
I won't say how old she is, but it's that big birthday. So, you know. That big birthday..
She isn't really looking forward to that aspect of the day, but I think she's looking forward to everything else! :3
Me, my sister, my mum's husband and my mum (of course!) already had an afternoon tea at a really nice café/patisserie for her birthday even though we had it a week before ^^; it was really nice... for them. Unlucky me has just developed a gluten allergy, so I couldn't eat all the nice cakes and stuff they were eating ;^; but the gluten free brownie I had came with ice-cream and a chocolate sauce which was DEL-IC-IOUS! So, that was a plus :,)
My mum is also going to have a small little party at our home on the Sunday :3 some of her close friends are coming as well as their families, and when I say families, I mean their children that me and my sister are friends with :,)
Me and my sister have also worked together to make her a nice present from the both of us as well as getting her something individually :3 together we got a few nice photo frames that we'll put some of mum's favourite pictures in of all of us together ♡ and from me I asked what my mum wanted (because I never really know what to get her) and she said she wanted this book to read, but because it's her big birthday, I brought the whole series and I'll also get her some pretty flowers since she always loves getting flowers! n.n
So I'm also excited for that eee!! *v*

And third of all..
Me, my mum and sister are going on holiday! To Devon on the 22nd - 29th of July! ^ω^
We go to Devon every year since it's our favourite place to go and even though a holiday every year to the same place might sound boring to some people, it's really nice for us to visit the same place because we know it and it's familiar to us ^O^
Also Devon is such a lovely holiday spot! Right by the beach and everything~
Hopefully the weather will improve, though.. ; ___ ;
So far this summer, the weather has been POOP! D;
So much rain that different areas have flooded (luckily not where I live..) but it's still bad D; So I'm hoping we'll get some sun the week we go away! >A<
We're also going to be staying in a really cute little cottage :3 because I have my dog now, we have to stay in places that allow pets and the place we found, while pretty small, allows pets and is also SO close to the beach! So, that's awesome ; v ;

That's pretty much all I have in terms of updates :3
OH YEA! I also finished playing Zero Time Dilemma which didn't take as long as I thought.. The average completion time is 25-26 hours ;;; but now I've finished that, I'll be working on my review for the game which I'm looking forward to doing because I definitely have A LOT of comments regarding this game :,) mostly good, but some things just.. UGHH!! > <;
Wound me up SO tight that I nearly broke ;;; In fact, part of me did..
Zero Time Dilemma-- no, the Zero Escape games in general broke me </3
They're amazing but OHMYGOD do they know how to kill you :,<
If you have a 3DS and/or PS Vita, you can play these games and I highly recommend that you do! :3

So that was my little update blog ^ω^
I hope it was relatively interesting and not too boring heh ^^;

Anyway, thank you for reading and have a great day! c:

Yahalloooo~

I'm back again with another seasonal anime tag~! This time for the Spring season that just ended <3
It was a...fairly decent season ^^;

1. What was the best anime?
The best anime was Kiznaiver!

Kiznaiver had me hooked from the first episode! I literally LOVED every single second of this anime right down to the hella emotional scenes that had me weeping like a baby ; ___ ;
It. Was. PERFECTION!
The story centres around seven high school students; Chidori, Nico, Honoka, Yuta, Tenga, Yoshiharu with Kacchon as the main, you could say.
Kacchon (or Agata Katsuhira ^^; ..I just really like his nickname) has lost all sense of pain and, as a result, became a very quiet and reserved person. Chidori who is Kacchon's childhood friend can only barely remember the days before he became this way and wants to try and return him to his original, cheerful self.
One day, Kacchon and Chidori (along with the other characters I mentioned) are kidnapped and taken to a facility that runs the Kizna Project where they are forced to join and become Kiznaivers which means their pain is shared among them. While there, they meet Noriko Sonozaki, a mysterious and unemotional girl who acts as the head of the Kizna System. She is also far more connected to Kacchon than even he realises...
The anime follows these teenagers as they experience each other's pain and go through various challenges while the reasoning behind the Kizna Project remains a mystery.

This anime has had mixed views and I'm part of the people who say it was AWESOME!
So I highly recommend this anime! It's seriously SO great, I even added it to my favourite list on MAL :,)
It. Was. PERFECTION!

[ my rating: 10/10 on MAL ]

2. What was the worst anime?
The worst anime was definitely Joker Game.

I wasn't originally planning on watching Joker Game. I read the synopsis and it didn't really speak to me...but it kept nagging at me in the back of my mind, so I eventually gave in and watched it :,)
..I really shouldn't have .-.
It was SO boring. So painfully boring ;A;
Basically the story is that World War II is approaching and, in Japan, there is this secret agency called the "D Agency" which was established to obtain secret information from around the world.
That's all I can think of to say. Each episode kind of focused on a different member doing different things and...it was just so boring! I couldn't concentrate on the story and not one single thing about this anime interested me ;;;
A few of the episodes almost had me falling asleep :,)
I definitely don't recommend this one >.<

[ my rating: 3/10 on MAL ]

3. What was your favourite anime?
My favourite anime was Kiznaiver!
..sorry to repeat myself ^^;
In fact this review may mention Kiznaiver a few more times :,)
But if I haven't already said it enough, I really did love Kiznaiver!
I found it so hard to wait for Saturday when this masterpiece of an anime would air ;^;
The plot was really unique and very well handled and expanded. The character development was gradual and didn't feel rushed. The amount of ships in this anime, too :,)
RIDICULOUS!! X,D
I very much shipped Chidori x Kacchon, but he was quite interested in Sonozaki. Then Chidori x Tenga became likeable to me too EVEN THOUGH ALWAYS Chidori x Kacchon! Then there was Tenga x Nico which is also cute, but I prefer Yoshiharu x Nico :,) and then you have Yuta x Honoka but they are totally cannon. Or...they will be. They are only for each other :,)
ANYWAY! Throughout the whole anime, I really hated Sonozaki. Her character was just so unlikeable to me. And she was also the wedge between Chidori x Kacchon ;;;
I never thought I'd like her or even understand her, but because of how the final episode was handled and how the story panned out, I was able to understand AND like her in the end!
I mean, that doesn't change my view on Chidori x Kacchon being the BEST, but I really did like Sonozaki in the end.
Honestly this anime is seriously perfect! Please do yourself a favour and watch this! *ω*

[ my rating: 10/10 on MAL ]

4. What was your favourite OP. song?
There were lots of awesome OP. songs this season, but I had to go with LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME (Kiznaiver).

..big surprise there, huh? ^^;

But seriously. This song is awesome! I always say this when I write these reviews, but this was another song that I listened to a billion times once the episode finished :,)
I wasn't hugely familiar with Boom Boom Satellites who composed this song, but they are definitely amazing if they can create a song like this ; u ;
And I was also very sad to hear of them breaking up and the reason why.. </3
But definitely an amazing and addicting song! *v*

5. What was your favourite ED. song?
My favourite ED. song was kinda hard to choose...but I went with the most entertaining one which was KUMAMIKO DANCING (Kuma Miko).

As well as entertaining, this ED. song was also really cute :3
..though the ending of the anime was slightly odd.. Made me feel weird kinda.. ^^;
But this song is actually the reason why I watched this anime in the end.. Is that weird? :,)
It just sounded really cute and funny and I was like..
 "Heh. I wanna know what the anime is like if this is the ED. song!" X,3

With the ed. song...I was tied between this one, the Bungou Stray Dogs ed. and the Endride ed. The Endride ed. especially is just...lovely! ; v ; But I couldn't find it on YouTube </3
Maybe just go to any episode and skip to the end to listen to it because it's so beautiful and the lyrics are just...some of the most amazing lyrics ever :,3 I kind of cried a bit when I first heard it :,)
But even so! KUMAMIKO DANCING is definitely a good ed. song! >ω<

6. Who was your favourite seiyuu of the season?
My favourite seiyuu of the season was, of course, Koutarou Nishiyama (voiced Yoshiharu Hisomu from Kizniaver).

I became familiar with Koutarou when he was cast as Atsushi is Binan Koukou Chiyuu Bouei-bu LOVE! which was...a very funny and odd anime :,)
Yoshiharu actually struck my interest when I saw his profile and this also sucked because he didn't appear in the anime properly until the third episode ;;; but when he did...what an entrance it was! >/ / /<
He is one of..."those" characters! >ω< being Kiznaivers, they share each other's pain and Yoshiharu enjoys this pain. To the point that, when he first appeared, he literally blissed the fuck out to the pain and OMFG! I was literally screaming and blushing SO MUCH! And that is how he became my favourite character! ;3
BUT KOUTAROU!
I didn't know he was capable of such sexy moans ;/ / /;
Uwaa~ Just thinking about them is making me want to bliss out like Yoshiharu ; v ;
He really did bring a uniqueness to Yoshiharu that I really couldn't picture anyone else other than HIM voicing this guy :,)

..plus Koutarou is such a cutie and I LOVE him! *ω*

7. Who was your favourite male character?
My favourite male character was Dazai Osamu from Bungou Stray Dogs.

First of all...Bungou Stray Dogs is amazing! :,)
It's literally the perfect balance of story, drama and comedy! Watch. It.
But Dazai...
HNNNNNNNNNNNNG!! Dazai~~ ω
He is a mix of sexy, cute and funny! :,D ..it's also this guy's dream to commit suicide! Or, after a while, commit a lovers suicide as he starts going after pretty girls and asking them if they would join him :,)
BWAH! He's just the best in SO many ways! :,)
I mean, LOOK AT HIM!! ;ω; LOOK at that beautiful, sexy faaaaaaace!! *sighhhh~*
I love him! I really, really do! *v*

8. Who was your favourite female character?
Another visit from Kiznaiver again :,) but my favourite female character was Nico Niyama

Nico is a precious angel and must be protected at all costs! I will not tolerate failure! >.<
The reason Nico was my favourite female character is because she has such a lovely and genuine personality! Even when she confronts Chidori about her feelings for Tenga, she doesn't try to hide anything! She lays everything out and I really admire the CRAP out of her for that ;;;
She's also very cheerful, funny, bright, outgoing...kind of immature and also girly >ω<
Nico is also quite perceptive which, because of how she usually acts, surprises everyone :,)
Another reason she is so loveable is because she truly believes that her and her fellow Kiznaivers are friends :3 while Honoka most of the time points out they are also companions because of the Kizna experiment, Nico insists they are friends and really cares about everyone and really loves everyone!
That precious smile! ; v ;
Nico deserves all the happiness in the World!! *O*

9. Who was your least favourite character?
Meh. I really didn't like Eiji Hoshimiya from Big Order (TV).

This anime was one I really didn't like in general, but Eiji made is so much harder to like :,)
I think what bothers me most about him is that he is so indifferent to everything around him! It seriously bugs me >. >
In general, he just really annoys me :,)
..that's it!
Seriously, that's all! He's indifferent and annoys me :,)
The relationship between him and his sister freaks me out as well.. I mean, yes they are step-siblings, but still! :,)
I know it's silly of me to say this guy is my least favourite character when I only really have two legit reasons.. But you must all have a character you dislike for no real reason, you just can't relate to them at all, right? Well, that's kind of what it is for me and Eiji :,)
Nothing relatable about him and because of that, he's a very hard character to like .-.

~   ~   ~

So that was my Spring Anime Tag!
The next season of anime is, obviously, the Summer season! ^O^
I am going to be watching SO many series, it's literally unbelievable! I'm actually concerned at how I'll manage it.. But it's not MY fault so many awesome looking series air in one season! ;;;

Anyway! I hope you enjoyed reading this tag and if you're interested, here is a link to my MAL account :3

Thank you for reading and have a great day! n.n
