Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Game Review~

Yahalloooo~

So...here I am! With a game review just like I promised in my last blog! ^ω^
I think I've played enough of this game to review it now-- well, I know I have since I've completed the buildings you're required to do :3
..you'll see what I mean later in the blog :,)

So with that said, let's begin! n.n

--SPOILER WARNING--
Not really though since there isn't any major plot to this game, I just thought I'd put this out there in case you don't want to read about what you can do but find out for yourself instead.

~ ~ ~

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer!

This game is a spin-off from the main series for the 3DS and 2DS systems.
Now I will say that if you haven't played one of the original Animal Crossing games before and was thinking about buying this, I suggest you don't :,)
When I say this is a spin-off, it really IS a spin-off!
In Animal Crossing games, you have your town with your own home and you can go fishing, dig for fossils etc. etc. With Happy Home Designer, I was expecting the "home designing" aspect to just be another feature of the game while still being able to do all of those other things.
But nope!
EVERYTHING is gone. The town you place the animals homes in is just an illusion and you can't walk around it fishing, bug catching, fossil digging and tree shaking like you usually can. You don't even have your own home. When you come back to Nook's Homes (which is the Home Design Office) after designing a home or public building, you're told to "write a report" which is basically saving your game, so once you've done that, you have the option to Quit or Continue the game and if you continue, the next day starts so you don't even need a home to go to ;A;
You're practically homeless!! (T3T)
So the reason why I'm saying buy an original Animal Crossing game before this one is because it lacks almost everything that Animal Crossing is about and this game could easily put you off the main series because, in all honesty, it really isn't that great. But I'll get to that later :,)

Overview~

You start this game by arriving at Nook's Homes after choosing what your character looks like (which consists of eye shape, eye colour, hair style and hair colour). After that, you're straight away launched into the exciting ( . . . ) world of home designing! You meet animals outside the Office and select them to start designing their dream house.

Seriously.
They just lurk around waiting for you to choose them with a little ( . . . ) over their heads which means they want a home designing. But the next day, there will sometimes be different animals, so if you see an animal you want, snap them up before they disappear :,)

Once you've selected which animal you want, you then get to choose a plot of land, which season you want that land to be in (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring), what the house will look like and then you're taken to the spot where it'll be.
You then get to design the landscape of the garden and then the interior of the house. Because the animal already has an idea of what they want their home to look like, you don't have to buy or earn different items of furniture which is pretty convenient! You just choose the furniture that'll suit the theme of their house and place it however you want. You also get to choose the carpet, wallpaper, wall hangings etc.
So for example, if an animal has the idea of a Picnic in the Park theme, just design their home with furniture, wallpaper and carpeting that'll match that theme and they'll be happy! :3

As well as designing the homes of animals, you get to expand the main plaza area which consists of a hospital, school, café, shop, theatre, department store, office building, a second shop, a restaurant and a hotel :)
Within this game, your favourite characters will appear wanting homes designed over time, but if they don't, you can buy amiibo cards which are sold separately, scan them with the NFC Reader/Writer and you have your favourite animals/characters wanting a request for a home!
[ RANDOM WORD FROM SERAH ]
You can only use the amiibo cards and NFC Reader/Writer when you have unlocked the amiibo phone within the game which is only available after a certain point.

If you feel like you've done a suuuuper awesome job on one of the animals homes or plaza buildings, you can share them on Miiverse which is a social network within the game that allows people from around the world to see your projects and for you to see theirs :3

Gameplay~

Now let's go into a bit more detail regarding the main feature of the game; Designing!

Basics~
As I previously mentioned, you are part of Nook's Homes which is a team made up of different designers (of course, realistically, you're the only one who actually does any work ;p).
These designers are...

Tom Nook;

Who we all know from previous installments of the game :,)
It kinda goes without saying that this time round, he owns Nook's Homes. He also isn't around a lot which...makes sense since it's his business.. > <"

Lottie;

Lottie is...kind of like a mentor to the main character. She shows you what do to and how to do it and helps you out from time to time :3

Lyle;

Lyle doesn't really do much...he's only around during the day (sometimes) and when he is, he sort of just stands around waiting for you to use the amiibo phone.
He's kinda useless :,)

Digby;

Digby doesn't really do much either :,)
Once you've reached the point in the game where you can re-do buildings within the plaza area, he's the one you talk to. So until you reach that point, you don't really have much to do with him :,)

Isabelle;

We all know the cute little Isabelle :3
She appears after a while and she's the one you go to when you want to start work on buildings in the plaza :) she says she works at the Town Hall, but I've never seen her anywhere other than at Nook's Homes, so...what is Isabelle really, hmm?
A mystery.. THAT'S what.

Once you've gotten past the introductions and everything is all A-OKAY, you can start your work! :) You just walk outside Nook's Homes and find animals wanting homes designed by YOU! ..you're kind of a legend already since the first home you designed is Lottie's and she's building you up to everyone! >. >
All the animals have different ideas about what they consider a perfect home and it's your job to decide which items suit that idea and where they go.
We'll use the animal Goldie as an example since she is your first client (after Lottie, that is) who wants a home designing :3
So she comes in with the theme of being surrounded by books so once you've decided where her home will go, you're then able to start designing! *v*
Automatically, your catalogue gets filled with different items that Goldie would like. You have Library wallpaper, stacks of books, a magazine rack, bookshelves etc. Some animals will have a few items they specifically request and that can be checked on the clipboard which is displayed at the bottom of the touch screen, but usually with items they request, they're already in the room you just have to unpack them by selecting the box they are in.
Placing the items is EASY! n.n
You just select the piece of furniture you want from the catalogue and it'll appear in the room as easy as that :3 you can then, using your stylus, move the piece of furniture to where you want it by holding down and dragging it. You can also rotate the item you have selected by, once again using your stylus and clicking until it's facing the direction you want :)
If you want another piece of furniture the same as the one you have out, instead of going back into the catalogue, you can simply hold down on the piece of furniture with the stylus and press L or R and another piece exactly the same will appear :3
Another thing that's very useful and also gives you more things to choose from when designing homes in the Handbook. If you go to Nook's Homes and sit down at your desk (after a certain amount of time) there will be a handbook there and you can read different lessons (in exchange for play coins) and you can gain things like fossils, bugs, fish and paintings to place in your animals home :3 new items will even become available from studying the handbook like lights to hang from the ceiling and rugs to place on the floor! So the possibilities for designing really are endless :)
With every home you complete, you'll get more furniture added to your catalogue so you can make future homes even better than the last :3
You'll also start to build up a list of emotions! :,)

Like in Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you'll be able to learn different emotions :3 ..not that there is really any huge point to them :,)
But they're still cute :3
I think there are 48 emotions in total that you can learn, so...complete those houses to get those super cute, yet totally pointless emotions :,)

After playing for a while, Isabelle will show up making it possible to now add buildings to the plaza area :) these buildings require more work to decorate since they're a lot bigger, but I find them more fun since there is waaaay more you can do :3
Facilities like a school and hospital become available to work on! ^v^

School

Hospital

These new buildings will attract more animals to the plaza area which means more homes to design and more facilities to be made.
For example, the development of a larger school will lead to the development of a hotel or theatre which are the final two facilities you can build :)

 Hotel

Theatre

So you definitely have a few things to work on in-between designing homes for animals, too :)

Exterior Design~
When you're working on the home of an animal, you're given a map of the area and you can decide where to place their homes.

You can place homes on a cliff, a private island, in the desert, a spot that has a bridge, on the beach and as well as that, choose the seasons. So they could live on a warm private island or live in the desert in winter...whatever you want!

You then come to the main task of designing the home.
While what the inside of the house looks like is important, it's also important you give the exterior a good feel to it :3
You can change the style of the house to a castle or a Japanese style home and you can even change the size of the front doors. You can then rework the surrounding area, so change the rope to a hedge or to a fence and add different items like trees, flowers, bushes and even go more creative than that to placing items such as benches or bicycles or lamp posts...basically if it's in your catalogue, use it!

(image found on Google; not owned by me)

Interior Design;
Once you're happy with the outside of the house, it's time to start the inside. Now it's time to really be creative and use your personal ideas (while keeping to the theme of what the animal desires) :3
You do sometimes get some animals who want the same requests, but that doesn't mean their home has to look exactly like how the home of the other animal looks; you can still make them different while in keeping with the theme :)
If you're a bit stumped at what the animal may like in their home, you can look at items they've already brought with them to give you more inspiration :3
[ RANDOM TIP WITH SERAH ]
I recommend you don't get rid of items the animals bring with them otherwise that'll make them upset and you also can't complete homes (or public facilities, for that matter) if there are pieces of furniture missing. Make sure you check your clipboard so you don't miss anything that is required of you.

Once you know what items of furniture you plan to use and the general theme of the room, it's then important you choose the right wallpaper and flooring to match! The house will look even better when the walls and floor match the furniture! :3

(image found on Google; not owned by me)

As well as adding furniture and other items to the room, you can also add different accessories like clothes, shoes, hats etc. The animal that owns this house will even wear them if it's what they like. You can hang the clothes on the wall or you can have them on a stand instead. There are also lots of new items to hang on walls! You have things like an air conditioner, an exit sign, flowers and wreaths and even new designs from older editions like clocks and lights.
A new aspect to this game that you haven't had previously is being able to change the shape and colour of windows, adding curtains, blinds or drapes (all with a different design) and also adding doors to another room; a single door, double doors, sliding door or even dividers.

When you start out, you only have the option to design one room, but as the game progresses, you'll be able to change that one room into town rooms and then two rooms into three rooms! This gives you the opportunity to add in even more furniture the animal would like and make their homes even better than before :3
To re-do a house you've already completed, visit the animal whose house to want to change and speak to them and the option to talk, offer a new house, offer a deluxe remodel will appear and you can choose whichever option you want :3

A couple of home examples;

Amiibo~

I'll talk a bit more about the NFC Reader/Writer and Amiibo Cards now since that's a new feature added for Happy Home Designer.

Using Amiibo;
The Amiibo system is a way for you to invite different animals over for you to interact with.
Regarding the facilities you've built in the plaza, you can invite over animals through Amiibo and set up photo opportunities so you can upload them along with your room on the social network so people will see the photo and want to visit your room, or for you to just keep the photos for yourself!
You can even give the animals roles when you invite them over.
For example, if you want to take a photo off a classroom in your school, you can assign one animal to be the teacher and assign a few others to be the pupils and have them sit at desks :)

When animals come over, they can also remember different furniture items they see.
So if you use an amiibo card of an animal that's been used by other players, you can gain the items they've remembered if you haven't yet obtained them :3

Amiibo Cards;
You need to buy Amiibo cards separately and there are three cards to a pack (one special and two regulars) :3
Special characters are those like K.K., Harriet, Luna etc.
And normal characters are just animals who would move into your town like Nana, Shep, Pekoe etc. :3

The NFC Reader/Writer and the Isabelle Amiibo Card

Sharing~

Another good feature that Happy Home Designer has is being able to share your home and facility designs on their special social network, Happy Home Network.
You can upload your creations as well as look at other peoples and even get ideas and inspiration to use yourself :3

As well as posting your homes and viewing other peoples, you can also rate their creations and take part in different design competitions. (I haven't done that yet, though.. I just read that you could do that).
[ RANDOM TIP WITH SERAH ]
The Happy Home Network is only accessible with a free download, but don't worry! That comes up when you start the game :)

Miiverse (which I'm sure most of you are aware of) is incorporated into this game as well :3
As well as sharing your creations on the Happy Home Network, you can also share them on Miiverse for a wider audience to see what you've done on Happy Home Designer :)
More info. on Miiverse here!
You can also share your creations on Twitter and Facebook.. (surprise, surprise) x,D

My Thoughts~

After watching trailers for this game, I was suuuuper excited for it's release! *ω*
..but then hearing a lot of negative reviews about the game put me off a bit ;<
I actually decided against buying this game a few days before it's release. It just happened that the fact I pre-ordered it on Amazon slipped my mind :,) and I remembered when I got an email saying it had been dispatched.
..Oh well!

I have to say though...I'm not overly impressed with this game.
It was okay the first few times I played it, but designing the homes of animals became really boring really fast. I've only played so much of it because designing the facilities in the plaza was more fun because there was more to work with. But now I've finished all of those, there really isn't much left for me.
If I'm bored, I may visit the game again...but I'll probably never think something like..
 "OMG YEA!! I feel like playing Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer today!!!"
It's a shame that this game was such a disappointment because Animal Crossing games are usually really good and easy to play :3 there's no real challenge and while that may sound boring to some people, I like it because you can just do want you want and do that at your own pace.
I think instead of focusing on spin-off games, Nintendo should make another main edition to the series and think of ways to improve that instead of making spin-offs that will barely keep anyone interested for longer than a week of playing it.

My Overall Score~

I mean, it's still an Animal Crossing game after all, so I can't completely slate it :,)
If I was to give it a score out of 10, I'd give it..

4/10

Designing rooms only stays interesting for so long, after that, there really is nothing left to do. So to give it anything higher than a four seems ridiculous to me :,)
All of the aspects that make Animal Crossing Animal Crossing are gone leaving behind something that is only enjoyable if you're very bored :,)
If you're contemplating buying this game, I would personally say don't bother wasting your money. Unless you're determined to play this game...it really won't keep you interested for very long. And if you're new to Animal Crossing games and are thinking about buying this game, like I said before, definitely don't because if you do, you'll never want to play another Animal Crossing game again.

~ ~ ~

So that was my review on Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for the 2DS and 3DS :)
I hope you found it informative enough and enjoyed reading it. If I left anything out, feel free to leave a comment and I'll try to answer as best as I can :3

Thank you for reading my review and have a great day! n.n

October Updates~

Y-Yahalloooo~
*hides* | _・)

I'm sorry I've been gone for...2 months..! ;____; I didn't realise it had been that long :,)
And honestly, I have NO idea as to what has kept me blogging for 2 months.. ^ ^;
But I'm blogging today, so I guess I can say TADAIMAAA~~ (^ω^)

Aaaaaanyway! :3 what else can I say...
[..you'd think being away for 2 months would give me something to talk about :,3]
Well, I at least have a couple of ideas for a few blogs, so that should stop me from being away for another 2 months! x,D other than that though, I really can't think of anything ;A;
I'm definitely excited for the release of Tales of Zestiria this month! *ω* it feels like it's been such a long wait! ..especially since I gave up on Tales of Xillia 2 :,)
No reason for that particularly, I just couldn't get into it like I did with Tales of Xillia which is...kinda sad :< but thank GOD for Tales of Zestiria :3
I've also been religiously playing Amnesia: Memories and Steins;Gate (..I-I'm not planning on reviewing them or anything..! B-BAKA!) and they've been awesome! <3
Especially Amnesia: Memories * / / / / * I've been wanting to play an Amnesia game for SO long and it's just such a shame some otome games don't get translated into English (..although some of Amnesia has been more Engrish instead..) TT~TT So when I found out that Amnesia: Memories was...I made sure to buy it STRAIGHT away!
It's such a HNNNNNNNNNNNNG-some game and I can't WAIT to review it! <3
Steins;Gate might take a bit longer to review since I want to try and see every character ending (currently working on 3/6, so..) before I do, so ya' :D but it will happen! >ω<
I'm also getting Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer some time today, so when I've played that for a bit, I'll review that too :> since I've played Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I think I'll be able to review Happy Home Designer fairly well since I'm familiar with the series :3 there have also been a lot of mixed thoughts on this game, so I want to throw my thoughts into that dispute as well ;D

On a completely unrelated note, I've been SO obsessed with this song! *ω*
Kagamine Rin・Len - Love and Hate (English Subbed)
I remember being obsessed with this song AAAAAAGES ago and I suddenly thought the other day..
 "OMG! SUKI KIRAI!" and had to listen to it again and...well, there you go :,3
Also Rin and Len are my baaaaaabies! ✿♥‿♥✿ I LOVE THEM LOTSH!~♪

I can't really think of anything else to say..
But I'll be back soon with some game reviews and a few other things so BE EXCITED! <3
I'm sorry this blog update was so short, I just really have nothing to say! D; there's only so much you can do between watching endless amounts of anime series ;3 but then again, I LOVE doing that so...eh. Why am I complaining again..? xp

Anyway, thank you for reading and have a great day! n.n
I'll be blogging again soon! :D

Hyper Japan 2015~!

Yahalloooo~ (^∇^)ノ

Last week (on the 11th of July) I went to Hyper Japan for the first time and..
OMG! It was SOO COOL and so much fun!!ヽ( ★ω★)ノ

Sadly I didn't take loads of pictures because my gallery memory was nearly full and I wanted to save most of it for recording a few videos of Eir Aoi performing, but I got some good pictures that I'll share with you! ^ω^

~ ~ ~

I went with one of my best friends and we both woke up at...maybe around 4am to catch the train at 5:40am.. *yaaaawn* We arrived at London (which is where Hyper Japan was held) maybe around 7ish, I think? We had something to eat at the station and then caught the underground and walked the rest of the way to the O2 arena :3
We went to the first Saturday session (9am-3pm) so that's why we woke up so early :,)
I mean, there is a later session (3pm-9pm), but I HAD to see Eir Aoi perform and she was only there on Saturday for the first session, so yea :3 and my friend being the awesome friend she is agreed to the early session (≧∇≦)

When we got there, we sort of just walked around for a bit looking at what the different stalls sold and things like that :3 my friend isn't really into anime as much as I am, so she couldn't really fully enjoy that aspect of Hyper Japan which was a shame ;A; ..it also meant she couldn't fangirl with me when I saw a group cosplay of DMMD (DRAMAtical Murder) TAT; seriously, I nearly went into cardiac arrest omG- > / / / / <
I ended up spending...I think it was £30 at a stall with Eir Aoi merch. :,) I brought a tour shirt, a band, an CD (for her to sign) and that came to £30! WOO~ x,D
BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
I also spent money on a Sailor Moon figure (Usagi) and a Love Live! chibi figure (Rin Hoshizora) which was super awesome!ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ
I also tried some strawberry flavoured shaved ice and HNNNNNNNNG it was tasty :,3 and also refreshing on a super hot day which it really was ;A; especially inside the O2 with loads of people walking around ;~;
There was also a Nintendo Area which was BEYOND amazing!! *ω*
Inside the Nintendo Area, there were a load of gaming areas to try different games that are releasing later this year/next year! I tried Tales of Zestiria which was SO much fun! >ω< I didn't stay on it for too long though because I get super self-conscious playing video games with loads of people watching me :,) but I still enjoyed what I tried :3
There were more stalls selling video games and anime figures/merch. and even a huuuuuge screen showcasing other games (from what I saw) and talking about different areas of the games :3
..there was also a giant Colossal Titan head. I got a picture with it ;p

Some pictures from the Nintendo Area;

Tales of Zestira; ..just running around :,)

Tales of Zestira; squad goals af!

Tales of Zestira; just kickin' ass ;F

That AWESOME Colossal Titan head! *O*

I touched the face of the Colossal Titan..! > <

For real! The Nintendo Area was SO cool! ;ω;
We went in pretty early, so we didn't have to queue! O: but after we had eaten at about 2pm, we wanted to go back in again, but people were queuing ;-; so, lucky for us we had already been there :,) the queue was SO long, though!! Like, several feet ;O;

By the time we'd done everything we'd wanted to and eaten, it was time to see Eir Aoi ♡
Literally the only reason I'd gone to Hyper Japan was so I could see Eir Aoi ;3; I was definitely NOT going to miss her FIRST UK performance! NO WAY!!
We'd arrived at the Hyper Live Stage bit earlier, so we ended up watching a performance by an idol group called Tokyo Girls' Style ^ω^ and they were actually really good! *u*
I loved watching them perform! They were singing, dancing...literally loving every second! And they were SO sweet! Like, I think they gave me diabetes that's how sweet they were! ; / / / / ;
And after them?
Eir Aoi.
I screamed.
I screamed, screamed, screamed SO MUCH!! <3
You all probably know of her! If not...where the HELL have you been!? > <;
She sung SO many awesome songs and I nearly cried when she sang Lapis Lazuli (the first ed. song for Arslan Senki) I am SO in love with that song OMG! *ω*
I did record two videos and I tried SO many times to get them onto my blog, but the files are too big ;-;
So, you'll have to settle with just pictures.. *sniff*

We were stood on the first far left balcony;

The Hyper Live Stage! ..feeling the hype!! >ω<

There is the amazing bae <3

Eir Aoi, everyone!! *ω*

LOOK AT HER GO!!!!!!!

SHE'S AMAZING!!

I LOVE HER SO MUCH!! <3

NUMBER #1 ;D

She was...
Incredible.
Outstanding!
AMAZING!
TRULY, TRULY EXCELLENT!!

I also got to meet her afterwards *ω*
..was that real life..?
She was SO sweet! ;3; we weren't allowed to take pictures with her because the meet-and-greet was going on while everyone was closing up to prepare for the second session, but still!
Getting to meet her (even if it was only for about 10 seconds) was awesome! I felt so insaaaanely lucky!! ;A;
And she signed the CD (Aube) I brought, so yay!! ♡
If you haven't heard of her before or heard any of her songs...
LOOK HER UP RIGHT NOW!!!
You'll love her! She's amazing at what she does! *v* her voice has SO much power, its like..
WHOAWHOAWHOA!! WHOOOAAAA!! ..*dies* x / / / / x

~ ~ ~

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog about Hyper Japan ^v^
I had a really great day and it was so awesome seeing loads of different aspects of the Japanese culture being represented in all these cool and different ways! *ω*
And also I loved seeing all anime and game things! ;3 and Eir Aoi, of course! She was definitely my favourite part of the day! ♡
If any of you get the chance to go to Hyper Japan, definitely take it! It's SO much fun and everyone is so nice and loves talking to you :3 but I would only recommend going for one session. You can get dual tickets that allow entrance to both sessions, but 6 hours is definitely enough :,)
After only 3 hours, me and my friend were already like..
 "Hmm...what shall we do now?" ^ω^"
But regardless! Still a really great day! :D

Thank you for reading and have a awesome day~! ^u^

My Haunted Phone.. (´﹏`)

Yahalloooo~

It's going to be a spooky blog today..! Woo00O0ooOoO00o~
Erm...that was supposed to be a ghost sound, by the way.. (◞‸◟)"

~ ~ ~

My friend gave me an idea to do this :,) like...keep a record of the creepy things my phone does and blog about them! X,3
I feel like Kana from Re-Kan! except my blogs aren't as cool as hers since I don't have any cool ghost photos like she does.. >. >
But still this is going to be kinda cool?
Well...sort of.. ^v^"

So.
The first spooky thing my phone did was...hmm...maybe a month or two ago now?
I'd woken up and was just checking my phone (like I do every morning) and when I went into my gallery, I saw a new recorded video that I definitely didn't do!
The information on the video said it had been recorded during the night. I think it was around 2am? Anyway, when I played the video...it was pure darkness with a load of creepy static sounds! Σ(°□°)
This is weird because..
1. I sleep with a light on at night, so there should have been some light in the video.
and 2. There would have been at least the sound of me breathing or something!
But NO!
It was pure static noise for about 10 seconds, I think it was? I got so freaked out, went downstairs to show my mum and asked if her or my sister had done it and after they were like..
"NO WAY!"
I just deleted the video :,)
*shiver* TOO creepy! ;____;

And the second spooky thing my phone did was today at around 1am which, of course, I was sleeping during that time as well!! >. >
I woke up at about 6am and saw my phone flashing and went onto twitter to check my notifications and on my profile, there was a tweet I had sent to my friend at 1am and it was a picture of Nausicaä.
This is weird because..
1. I don't even know if the friend I sent this to likes Studio Ghibli films
and 2. Relating to the first reason, I can't recall ever talking to her about Studio Ghibli films.
..but she retweeted it anyway, so I'm assuming she knows them :,)
But the fact TWITTER is now haunted is like what the actual HELL!?
I mean, when I tweet my friends something, 90% of the time I add some speech or something after adding a picture and this picture just included my friends twitter name.
SO. FREAKING. WEIRD!
And that's when I got the idea to do this blog thing after tweeting her that I didn't send it :,)
But honestly.
HOW does twitter send someone a tweet including a picture from your gallery?
In fact...I'm lucky it was that picture and not something else ^v^" I have plenty of yaoi on my phone, so...yea :,)

Tweets from earlier today about the Haunted Nausicaä Tweet;

So...yea! As you can see...we both think my phone needs replacing or at least an exorcism ;;;;

~ ~ ~

That was my first Haunted Phone blog and, if anything else weird happens, I'll probably do more :,)
I hope you enjoyed reading this and that it was entertaining in...some way.. xD

Have a nice day, everyone! n.n

BYESIES~! :3

June Updates~

Yahalloooo~ (⌒▽⌒)☆

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while (..again!) but I've been really busy this past month ;A;

I've been helping my mum plan her wedding and getting all the decorations ready and setting up the garden with tables and chairs for the party afterwards :3
And now that my mum is on her honeymoon, I have a moment to blog since I'm just relaxing right now :,)

~ ~ ~

So, the wedding!
It was really such a wonderful day! ♡ The ceremony was held at a registry office since my mum is pretty low-key and doesn't like huge parties and events like that (..yet she wonders where I get that from!) and me and my sister were witnesses for her and Patrick (her partn-- well, husband now) so we had had to sit in front of everyone else there which was kind of awkward :,) we also teared up a little bit (I refused to let myself properly cry since I was wearing make-up) x,D
We had pictures taken afterwards by the photographer and then went back home to have the party :)
(Also! We won't have the pictures for a while, but if I can find a way to get them onto my laptop, I'll post some for you all to see) :3
I mentioned for the party afterwards we set up the garden to look pretty and everything? Well, here is what that looked like! :)

My mum decided to go with a green and white theme, and I think it turned out really well~! *ω*
We had games set up around the corner at the bottom (you can kind of see one of them in the picture! See the turquoise mat on the ground? That's one!)
There was a giant Jenga set, a giant Connect-4 set and a ring toss thing which is what you can see :)
I spent the evening mostly with my sisters and friends and one of my friends brought a card set, so we played Cheat (of course we couldn't say "Bullshit" with people around us) literally for most of the evening :,) sounds boring, but it was really funny :3
The food was A-MAZ-ING as well! Super tasty~
And after a while, we started dancing on our "DIY" dance floor which is under the tent at the very back~~ ♪((└|o^▽^o|┐))
Me and my friends didn't have ONE drink, yet we were dancing crazier and wilder than the people who were drunk :,D also (SO FUNNY!!!) one guy got so drunk that when he walked onto the dance floor, fell slightly to the side and toppled over into the tent and actually broke one of the poles :,) after that, the tent for the dance floor was crooked for the rest of the evening :,)
Everyone left around...maybe 11:30pm? Even when they'd gone, my mum and sister carried on dancing :,) Me? I was exhausted and achey so I went straight to bed! [(--)]..zzZ

Right now (like I said) my mum is on her honeymoon, so me and my sister are just relaxing at home :)
..and clashing, a bit :,)
I've picked up my mum's crazy-cleaning habit .-. so I like to keep things as tidy as possible and my sister is literally the world's messiest person EVER, so...
You can probably imagine how THAT is working out :,D I even sent a text to my mum ranting about it! I just had to let out my frustration dnsjt4h8q3;t'0kq39lp33si0q4tu...
~ b r e a t h e    i n~
~b r e a t h e    o u t~
Aahhh~
I'm okay -O-

That's about it for wedding things! O:
Let's see...
What else??

Oh! I know what else! :D
In July (on the 11th, I think it is..) I'm going to HYPER JAPAN!! o(〃^▽^〃)o
I am literally SOO excited!! The reason I'm going to Hyper Japan is to see Eir Aoi who is...probably one of my most favourite Japanese singers ever!! ;ω;
I wouldn't even be going if it wasn't for her :,) it's her first EVER UK appearance, so I couldn't miss out on this golden opportunity! I'm really so excited I LOVE her SO much!! (✿ ♥‿♥)
If you're an anime fan like me, you'll most definitely have heard of Eir Aoi :3
Her most notable songs may be her OP. songs for the Sword Art Online series *u* you've also got Kill La Kill in there, Aldnoah.Zero 2nd season, Fate/Zero and Arslan Senki (TV) :3
She also did the fourth OP. for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE and the TV OP. for Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 :)
I recently brought her new album D'azur when it was released and it's BRILLIANT! :D
Right now, the ED. for Arslan Senki (TV) is my favourite! *v*

Listen to it and do your ears a favour! It's incredible~~ヽ(o♡o)/
So...YES! >ω< I'm TOTALLY stoked for Hyper Japan! ☆(ノё∀ё)ノ☆

I'm also checking 4infinity every day! *ω*
For people like me who are crazy in LOVE with the Zero Escape games, we're all eagerly awaiting what we think is an announcement relating to the third and final game which is what this website is counting down to :3
Eeep! SO excited!! >/ / / / /<b
I can't WAIT to see what'll happen when it reaches zero! XD
..or, should I say 000000000000 :,)

~ ~ ~

I can't really think of anything more to say at the moment, so I'll stop here :)
I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope you have a great day! :3

BYESIES~! :>

STUDIO GHIBLI TAG~!

Yahalloooo~
Looks like my promise to blog more is working! ...so far ^v^"

I really like doing Tags on my blog and if you follow my blog (..I'll be surprised if anyone does) you'll know I've done a couple of Anime Tags in the past and a Questionnaire sort-of-thing about myself, too :3
I couldn't find any good tags about anime since I seem to have done the best ones, so I thought and thought and thought "What else could I possibly do a tag on..?" and then I thought.. "STUDIO GHIBLI!" and if any of you know me, you'll know how much I love and adore Studio Ghibli <3
So, without further ado (that was weirdly fancy of me...), I give you my Studio Ghibli Tag~!
Enjoy~ n.n

~ ~ ~

1. Which Studio Ghibli film was your first?
My first Studio Ghibli film was Spirited Away.

I can't remember exactly, but I think I was 15 years old. My English classroom at school had the movie poster for Spirited Away on the wall and I would look at it every lesson and say to my friends how much I wanted to see it :,) and one day I was going to my best friends house for a sleepover and she owned Spirited Away and asked if I wanted to watch it. I, of course, said yes and...
OHMYGOD!
I still remember the feeling I got when I was watching the film! This amazing yet totally indescribable feeling! I fell instantly in love with this film and when I went home the next day, I remember the first thing I did was order Spirited Away off of Amazon and then I watched the film every night for...roughly 2 months straight :,)
And my love for Studio Ghibli ultimately lead to my love of anime in general <3

2. Which Studio Ghibli film is your favourite?
My favourite Studio Ghibli film is From Up On Poppy Hill.

I always find this question very hard to answer since I love so many of the Studio Ghibli films, but there is just something extra special about From Up On Poppy Hill.
I think it's the location of the film, the characters, the story, the gradual developing youthful romance, just...all of what this film creates is tied into this one perfect package and it's literally one of the most amazing films I've ever seen!
I love it SO much! <3

3. Which Studio Ghibli film is your least favourite?
My least favourite Studio Ghibli film is Ocean Waves.

It's not that I hate this film or even hugely dislike it for that matter, it's just not one that particularly stood out to me.
I've seen it a couple of times to try and change my opinion and while I can watch and relatively enjoy it, I never think to myself..
 "Wow! This film is SO amazing!"
It's just...only OK.
I mean, thinking about it now...I can only vaguely recall what the film is about. It's just...not my favourite which is basically what the question was :,)
So...yea. That's my answer! (long winded, I know..) x,D

4. Which film would you recommend to someone who has never seen a Studio Ghibli film before?
I would recommend starting with My Neighbour Totoro.

I mean, truthfully I would recommend any and all of my favourites, but I think My Neighbour Totoro would be such a sweet film to start with :3
It's just so charming and so much fun to watch <3 the story alone is so heartwarming and it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside whenever I watch or think about it ;3; the music is incredible, as well! I just...wouldn't be able to recommend this enough :)
So, if you haven't seen any Studio Ghibli films before, please start with this one ^v^
I promise you won't regret it! n.n

5. Do you like all of the Studio Ghibli films or do you prefer Hayao Miyazaki's work?
Hmm...that's a good question! :,)
While I have so much respect for Hayao Miyazaki and consider him my inspiration in life, I think I'll have to say I love all Studio Ghibli films (because even Hayao Miyazaki is in that category). I can see why people would say only Hayao Miyazaki, but I wouldn't understand them saying that.
I mean, you'd be ignoring films like Whisper of the Heart, Grave of the Fireflies, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko etc. and all of those are masterpieces as well!
When I think about my top 5 favourite Studio Ghibli films, only 2 of those films are directed by Hayao Miyazaki, so it wouldn't make sense for me to say just Hayao Miyazaki.
I seriously love these films so much, directed by Hayao Miyazaki or not, they're all special and wonderful to watch! Each one has their own individual charm, which is why they are all so lovely <3
..though I wouldn't class Grave of the Fireflies as "lovely". While the art is beautiful, I think "lovely" should be substituted for words like "devastating, heartbreaking, disastrous" ...the list goes on :,)
But I digress! x,D
So, what I'm trying to say is that I like all of the Studio Ghibli films :3
Got there eventually.. ^v^"

6. Have you seen all of the Studio Ghibli films?
I sure have! ;D each and every one! Even The Tale of Princess Kaguya and When Marnie Was There; the two more recent releases ^v^
What can I say? I just love Studio Ghibli SO much! <3

7. Who is your favourite male Studio Ghibli character?
My favourite male Studio Ghibli character is Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke.

This took a lot of thinking and I mean a lot of thinking ><
While Ashitaka does kill people (but mostly because of his cursed arm) I consider him one of my favourite characters because he has true beliefs that, I feel, are honest and pure.
He doesn't necessarily choose between San and the people of Iron Town, either. He wants to help both sides reach a compromise, stop the war between them and cure them all of their anger.
While thinking that he alone can do this is a little vain, I still think his thoughts and actions are genuine. He helps both sides and cares for both sides which I think is his true quality which proves that he really is just trying to help cure the forest and the people.
He's also strong-willed and has a lot of courage which makes his character even more likeable! :)

8. Who is your favourite female Studio Ghibli character?
My favourite female Studio Ghibli character is Nausicaä from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Wow! Where to begin with Nausicaä?
First of all, I've always loved how Hayao Miyazaki portrays women in his films. He feels that women are strong and independent; that they don't need a man to rely on and Nausicaä is, I feel, a perfect example of his beliefs.
While she does meet Asbel later in the film, she doesn't turn into a "damsel-in-distress" type of character, she remains strong and independent all the same.
Nausicaä is brave, clever, resourceful and even though she is a skilled swordswoman, she is also peace-loving. She is also determined to help the land and the people of the valley where she lives who she cares about very much. Nausicaä also has the ability to communicate with creatures and the giant insects that roam the Toxic Jungle which is why she is the only one who can really help them return to their peaceful ways of living.
I just love Nausicaä! Love, love, love her! <3 she's truly amazing! :3
. . .
Also...can we just take a moment to appreciate how CUTE Teto looks in that gif?! Seriously, look at his FACE! Look at his closed EYES! LOOK, LOOK, LOOOOOK! <3 I'm love, omG! <3

9. Do you own any of the Studio Ghibli films on DVD?
I definitely do! Every single one, in fact! ;3
Even pre-Ghibli films like The Little Norse Prince, Panda! Go, Panda! and The Castle of Cagliostro! ..I would add Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind in there too because it was made before Studio Ghibli was founded, but because of how well it did, it's considered part of the main collection...so yea! :3
.   .   .
I LOVE STUDIO GHIBLI!!!! <3 <3 <3
..sorry :,) I just needed to get that out of my system! :,)

10. What do you think is so special about Studio Ghibli films that makes them different to other anime films?
I think...in my opinion, Studio Ghibli films have a certain charm that you don't see in every other anime film. Also when watching Studio Ghibli films, I can almost feel all the hard work that went into making them and I'm not saying you can't with other anime films, but with Studio Ghibli films, all the hours spent hand drawing scenes, checking them, re-doing them, checking them again...all of that! It's SO clear in these films that so much care went into every scene, every character, every line!
Again with Studio Ghibli films, I'm always so moved by them. The emotion they always evoke in me is something I never feel from other anime films! I think it's just...the pure beauty of Studio Ghibli films, how magical they feel, the characters, themes, plots, characters and how they develop and grow, literally everything they are ;3;
Plus, going into more personal matters, Studio Ghibli films made me the person I am today in so many different ways (I'm not exaggerating, honestly!) because I can't even remember the kind of person I was before these films came into my life, but from the moment they did, I can remember how I felt and how I've grown and changed as a person. I've never had an experience like that with other anime films.
Studio Ghibli films are just so special to me and I love them so much I can't even describe it properly, it's weird, I know...but that's how it is :,3
I love them! Studio Ghibli is honestly the best thing in my life! <3

~ ~ ~

So that was my Studio Ghibli Tag :3
I hope you enjoyed it and, if you feel like it, you should do this tag too! ^v^ it's super fun, plus...it's a Studio Ghibli tag...how could you possibly NOT do this?! x,D

Thank you for reading and I'll blog again soon! :3

May Updates~

Hello there~!
Don't tell me I've been away for almost 2 months .-.
Because I know I have been. Tch.

I wonder how many people actually noticed my absence? Probably not many :,)
Well, the reason I haven't blogged in a while is simply because I didn't have anything to blog about.
Yea...that's how boring my life is .-.
I mean, not an awful lot has happened recently either, but I felt I should write an update anyway and hope ideas pop into my head as I go! ^v^

What to start with..? Hmm...
Oh! Well (even though this isn't about me...sort of..?) my mum is getting married in June! <3
I'm SO excited! It's not going to be your traditional type of wedding because my mum is pretty low key :,) her and her partner are going to get married at a registry office and then have friends and family come back to our house afterwards for the party! :D
We've hired someone to make lots of yummy food and we're going to make the garden look all pretty and stuff ^v^ We're going to get a gazebo or two and decorate them with pretty fairy lights and have tables underneath with food and drinks available on them and we're also going to put loads of pretty decorations and things on the tables :3 my mum has gone with a green theme (I'm not sure why...maybe because it'll be summer?) so the tables will have a lot of green decorations on them! Me and my sister have also helped to put together a playlist since we want music playing :D and I'm going to help with decorating little things like small jars to put candles and flowers in etc.
It's not even MY wedding and I'm SO excited :,) I mean, I should be right? My mum has been with her partner for over 11 years .-. I think a wedding is loooooooooong overdue :,)

OH!
Something that is a little bit more about me :,)
I finally...FINALLY finished Tales of Xillia a few days ago <3
If you've been following my blog, you'll know how long I've been working on that game :,) it's not even that the game was hard it was just...erm...
Well basically, I started the game when it first came out and I eventually got stuck at a certain boss fight (Brutaur) and because I hadn't spent enough time levelling up, I kept dying over and over again .-. So I started again and spent a tonne of time levelling up whenever I entered a new hunting ground area. And when I reached Brutaur again, it was a cake walk ;p

[even though I was level 25 the first time I encountered this boss, I still ended up dying even though Brutaur was only level 24 .-.
The second time, I was actually level 50! So screw you, Brutaur!! x,D]

So, everything was all good from there! :3
I then made sure I was level 70 before heading back towards Fennmont nearer to the end which took SO long because...ugh! The monsters would only give out...1000 EXP max. and so I had to eat loads of meals to increase EXP gain :,) and I also got a dog during that time and had my operation (irl btw if that wasn't already clear.. x,D), so I wasn't on ToX as much as I would have liked to have been :,)
But regardless, I finished it a few days ago! <3
I didn't die ONCE during that play through until I encountered Muzét before the final boss fight! I mean, WHAT WAS THAT EVEN!? It was just Milla and Jude and the idea was I (playing as Milla) would do most of the attacking while Jude handled the healing! .-. it took me several tries and my mum even shouted at me at one point for raging too loudly :,) but I finally beat her!
And then it was Gaius and Muzét together .-.
OhMyGod! That wasn't even funny! > <
Literally 5 seconds in I was getting my ass handed to me!! D:< I eventually had to give in and switch the battle to easy mode *cries* and that worked .-. I mean, it was actually easy once you got started! It began as just Jude and Milla and gradually your other party members join in (Leia, Elize, Alvin and Rowen) and once Rowen joined in at the end, his attack was literally ALL it took and the battle was over :,)
And I'm currently suffering from Post Tales of Xilla Depression :,)
I miss the game SO much it's not even a joke! ;^; I actually ache for it! </3 I mean, the ending was perfect and I loved it (I even cried! Cried like a little baby!)...but I just miss it SO much! I can't wait to start Tales of Xillia 2, but at the same time...I don't want to because I know it will just end again T.T
Although I do want to play ToX a second time because you get to play as Milla and Jude so there are events in the game that are only specific to each character .-. which annoys me a little because there are a few boss fights that are only available to Jude and where he gets loads (those being Gaius and Muzét (I think..), Alvin, Ivar, Agria and Presa) Milla only gets one (Muzét...well, there is another, but it's SO weak I don't consider it a boss) .-.
...most of you probably don't even know what I'm talking about ^v^"
But I will say that if you have a PS3...GET Tales of Xillia! <3 it's seriously such an amazing game and I love it SO much! *w*
BUT!
You can't have Alvin .-. he's mine!

I love him SO much it hurts aaaahhh ;//////;

So that's the end of my ToX talk...
I think that's all I have to say .-.
In nearly two months that's really all I have..? :,)
Well, at least you all know I'm still alive heh x,D

So, I'll try and keep up with with blogging...like I say every time! But this time, I'll really try! *^*
Maybe I'll start reviewing more anime series and games or something, who knows? Something to keep me blogging more frequently :,)

Anyway! Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day! <3
